Webinar: Civil aircraft parts – YES some do need export licences

So you’ve been working in aerospace for many years and you’ve never needed export licences because, export controls only relate to military goods – WRONG, GO STRAIGHT TO JAIL, DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT £100.

Some avionics and instrumentation require export licences as do certain seals and gaskets.

There are trade embargoes in place to some countries and, if you lease aircraft and change equipment or configuration for a new customer you could be ‘modifying for military use’.

This briefing will highlight where these controls may be found, how they impact brokers, supply chain and maintenance organisation and what steps to take to avoid prosecution and fines.

Webinar: Developing new products with overseas partners – exchanges of ideas and processes are subject to export controls

You have a fabulous opportunity to develop a new and better product that will not need an export licence. Wait just a moment before you get completely carried away and think, “that’s it, I don’t need to worry about export control”.

“Development”, “production” and “use” information may be subject to control even if the final product is outside the control lists.

How can this be? The intermediary treatments and process used to make your product may be subject to control if they are exported around the world and, if of US origin will then attach US nationality controls when used.

This briefing will explore the areas of the control lists that cover machinery, materials and processes, what licences may suit your needs and how to manage the impact of any nationality controls.

Webinar: DSEI – Trade & Export controls for exhibitors

Thinking of exhibiting your products in the UK anytime soon? Military list items are subject to export and trade controls so, to avoid any holdups with promoting your range of products or moving onto your next exhibition, make sure you have the correct authorisations in good time.
